Taiwan is a bright tourism spot, which is a perfect mix of the modern and traditional world. It is a country that boasts of beautiful scenery, rich culture and hospitality thus attracting the attention of international visitors. The busy capital is Taipei which has some of the historic landmarks such as Taipei 101 and the national palace museum.

How to Reach : Taipei Is the entry point to Taiwan.Taipei is well connected to different destination in city by MRT( Metro Train). 

To reach Taipei 101or World Trade Centre Station take MRT Red Line.

Take Red or Green Line for Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall Station.

Take MRT to Shilin Station and then take a Bus to reach the Museum.

Go by train to Ruifang Station then take a bus or taxi to Jiufen.

Best Time To Visit

October to April 

October to November (Autumn) : During this time the temperature is comfortable ranging in between 18°C to 25°C and clear Skes with pleasant atmosphere. This is great for sightseeing, hiking and enjoying outdoor festivals.

December to February (Winter ) : The temperature during this period is in between 15°C to 20°C which is mild and cool in north and at the same time South remains warmer and Sunny which is perfect or beach visit. Tourist can enjoy snow view at the top of mountains like a Hehuanshan.

March to  April (Spring) : This is blooming season during the time Cherry Blossoms make the nature beautiful because weather is somewhat warm which is best for nature lovers to visit places like national 
park and tea plantation.


Main Festivals :

1. Chinese New Year (Lunar New Year)
Significance : This festival is the most important festival in Taiwan which occurs during late January or February. During this festival families gather together, exchange Red Envelopes and enjoy the traditional feast.



2. Lantern Festival
Significance : This festival is celebrated on the 15th day of lunar new year. In Taiwan festival is called as Pingxi Sky Lantern Festival. In this festival thousands of lanterns are released in to the night sky.



3. Dragon Boat Festival (Duanwu Festival)
Significance : This festival is celebrated on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month which is usually in the June. In this festival sticky rice dumpling called Zongzi is eaten and Dragon Boat Races are performed.



4. Mid Autumn Festival (Moon Festival)
Significance : This festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month probably September or October. Family are reunite together and admiring the full moon and enjoy Moon Cakes and Barbecues.
